"We learn to do by doing". This moto holds true as Bob has painted more the 6,000 pieces in his fifty one years at the easel. These are found world wide and have given the artist a life of expression and communication while sharing with others. He has expanded this adventure into the area of large murals, both inside and outside. These have drawn many visitors into a world of life size realism with detail and depth.
He has spent thirty five years as an educator and demonstrator to more that 5,000 students. He has authored a text book as well, with 28 full color illustrated lessons. His teaching potential was further expanded with a correspondence course he designed to reach world wide areas.
There are seven large outside murals in the Forsyth, MT area that have drawn a lot of interest from both local and travelers alike. Most any summer day will find Bob at a new mural project in town. He enjoys sharing and visiting while he creates these giants.
Bob has initiated an original and unique style of painting which has been seen on national TV. He entertains at his art shows by painting pictures with a carpenter wrecking bar. These pieces of art have become in demand to the extent that he sells out at almost every show. Bob says, "Why retire when you're already doing the very thing you love doing the most."
